The Abyss' true nature is an unknown, however it is known that it seems to act as an aggressive parasite on the world. It fills in the gaps between the Reflections, and every so often breaks through into one of them. The Abyss perverts, corrupts, and twists everything it comes into contact with. Its unknown whether its a reflection, a demi-plane or something else. Some think its a consequence of the breaking, some think it caused the breaking, some wonder if its a place, or a thing and other just wonder how they can destroy it.
